• First of all, I want you to consider a scope that is durable and can withstand the recoil of a flintlock rifle. You know that the old flintlock scope produces a recoil, so you should look for a scope that is capable of bearing the recoil. 
• The scope should have a magnification that suits the intended purpose of the rifle. Choosing a scope with too high or too low magnification will negatively affect your shooting accuracy.
• As I told you earlier that my friend does have a flintlock, and according to him, the muzzleloader scopes work perfectly with his flintlock rifles. So, you can choose a nice muzzleloader scope with lower magnification and can get an excellent shooting experience.

The question might be in your mind if mounting a scope on the flintlock scope actually increase the performance or not. So, I would like to answer this question in detail, so that you don’t feel confused or perplexed.

Look, mounting a scope on a flintlock rifle put a significant impact on its performance and accuracy. The added weight of the scope can affect the balance of the rifle, making it more difficult to aim and shoot accurately.
